The role of the Line Cook at Eggs Up Grill is crucial in maintaining the quality and consistency that customers expect. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Line Cook collaborates with a team to prepare delicious food efficiently across multiple stations. The position requires proficiency in cooking recipes at five different stations, as well as preparing ingredients for service. Food safety and adherence to ServSafe procedures are paramount, ensuring that every meal served is safe and of high quality. During busy shifts, the Line Cook must maintain a positive attitude, assist coworkers, and support the Kitchen Manager as needed. Excellent teamwork, a great attitude, and a commitment to service excellence are core traits for success in this role.
The Line Cook's hours of operation are from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, offering a consistent daytime work schedule which is ideal for those who prefer morning shifts. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing food for service, cooking menu items in collaboration with kitchen staff, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Inventory management and compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations are also part of daily tasks. The role requires handling multiple duties such as completing temperature logs and checklists for cleaning and maintenance. Flexibility to participate in all kitchen roles, including dishwashing when necessary, highlights the team-oriented culture at Eggs Up Grill. - Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef/prep cook
- Familiarity and fluency in kitchen terminology
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, procedures, and equipment

Job Duties
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and kitchen
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out at high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Complete temperature logs and checklists for daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Participate in all roles in the kitchen as required, including as dishwasher when needed
