Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years related work experience
- Valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Frequent standing and reaching
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Must follow company safety and hygiene policies
- Willing to work beyond normal hours when needed
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and training
- Prior experience in related food service positions
- Valid ServSafe or Food Handler Certification
- High level of integrity and honesty
- Moderate reading and writing skills
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Job Duties
- Prepares or directs preparation of food using established production procedures
- Determines amount and type of food and supplies required
- Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time
- Sets steam table
- Serves or ensures proper serving of food for tray line or dining
- Complies with established sanitation standards and personal hygiene
- Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Stores food properly and safely, marking date
- Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance
- Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
- Apportions food for service
- Maintains daily production records
- Keeps work area neat and clean including dishwashing
- Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment
- Completes food temperature checks
- Completes requirements for in-service training, attendance, and uniform compliance
- Supports mission, values, and vision of California Fish Grill
- Implements safety procedures and quality assurance
- Cooperates with coworkers and promotes positive public relations
