Job Description

Our establishment operates from 6:00am to 2:00pm, committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences through high-quality food and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves working at any of five cooking stations, preparing ingredients, and cooking recipes proficiently while maintaining a high standard of food safety and sanitation. The successful candidate will be adept at handling the pressures of a fast-paced kitchen environment and must demonstrate a strong adherence to ServSafe procedures and food safety regulations. The Line Cook will play a crucial part in ensuring that food is prepared and served promptly without compromising quality. Additionally, this role requires a positive attitude, the ability to work well under pressure, and a collaborative spirit that supports the entire kitchen team. Responsibilities also include assisting fellow team members, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and participating in various roles within the kitchen as needed, including dishwashing duties. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working as part of a hardworking culinary team committed to excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of ServSafe food handling procedures
  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • Capability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift moderate weight

Job Qualifications

  • Prior line cook or prep cook experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and kitchen
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out at high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Complete temperature logs and checklists for daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Participate in all roles in the kitchen as required, including as dishwasher when needed
