The Cook role at Continental, located at Zotec, offers a full-time employment opportunity with compensation at $19.00 per hour. Reporting to Arianne Holsapple, the Cook will be an essential member of the culinary team responsible for executing menu items with precision, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting production and prep work to ensure efficient service. This role requires strong cooking fundamentals, excellent time management, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Cook will operate assigned stations such as grill, saute, fry, or garde manger, ensuring dishes are properly seasoned, cooked, and presented consistently.

Key responsibilities include preparing ingredients, completing daily prep and production tasks using standardized recipes, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment. The Cook will monitor food quality and portion control to uphold Continental's standards, promptly report any product issues, and assist with cross-training and supporting other kitchen stations as needed. Adherence to health and safety regulations, ServeSafe standards, and company policies is critical to maintaining a safe, sanitary, and professional kitchen environment. This position not only demands technical skill and attention to detail but also the ability to communicate clearly and contribute positively to the kitchen culture.

  • Execute menu items during service with accuracy, speed, and consistency
  • Operate assigned stations such as grill, saute, fry, garde manger according to kitchen standards
  • Ensure proper seasoning, cooking techniques, and plating for all dishes
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked stations throughout service
  • Assist in expediting food orders as needed
  • Complete daily prep lists, production tasks, and batch cooking according to standardized recipes
  • Perform knife work with precision and safety, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning
