The position available is that of a Cook within the hospital's culinary team. This is a full-time hourly role with a pay rate of $18.25 per hour. The cook will work shifts based on the facility's needs, primarily responsible for preparing high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff. Guided by the chef or production manager, the cook will handle meal preparation for various settings including patient food service, the retail cafe, and catering events within the hospital. This role demands a friendly and compassionate individual who works well within a team, upholding hygiene and safety standards to ensure food quality and safety.
The cook's responsibilities include following company recipes and guidelines meticulously, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen workspace, and adhering to all health and safety policies enforced by the hospital. Additionally, the cook will support team members and management to ensure efficient department operations. This job requires someone comfortable with a fast-paced environment, able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Experience in commercial kitchens such as fast food, hotel operations, or healthcare food service is preferred.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed and in uniform
- Prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, cooking, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, dietary cook, healthcare foodservice)
Job Duties
