Job Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent
knowledge of dietary procedures
food handler certification

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent
knowledge of dietary procedures
food handler certification
at least one year dietary cook experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facilities preferred

Job Duties

Prepare food in quantities according to menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served
comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards
monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers
inspect special dietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served to residents
process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services
ensure that food and supplies for meals are readily available
assist in inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies as necessary
