Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Three to five years of cook or nutrition experience
- Ability to plan, prepare, and document meals
- Knowledge of Child Care Food Program guidelines
- Ability to oversee food hygiene and safety
- Strong record keeping skills
- Ability to supervise student workers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Three to five years of cook or nutrition experience
- Coursework or training in foods, nutrition, and/or dietetics preferred
- Current Food Handlers Certificate preferred
- Commitment to continuing education related to employment preferred
Job Duties
- Plan meals that meet nutritional and program guidelines
- Prepare and document all meals for children in the center
- Oversee food program operations including hygiene and meal distribution
- Supervise student workers in the kitchen
- Maintain records related to food service
- Ensure compliance with Child Care Food Program and public health regulations
- Manage all kitchen operations and food storage
