Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in food preparation or service
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time efficiently
Physical capability to perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in food service or healthcare food preparation preferred
Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Good communication skills
Ability to manage stress and adapt to changing workloads
Basic understanding of health department regulations

Job Duties

Assist chef in preparation and presentation of foods for patients, employees, visitors and special functions
Maintain sanitation of kitchen equipment
Ensure food is attractively served and properly handled within health board and JCAHO guidelines
Work well with peers and manage stressful situations effectively
Adjust work processes to ensure tasks are completed properly and thoroughly
Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, healthy work environment
Work independently when needed to complete daily departmental tasks
