Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • minimum age of 18 years
  • prior experience in cafeteria or large production facility preferred
  • knowledge of safety procedures in food service environments

  • experience working in a cafeteria or large volume production kitchen is a plus
  • knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to multitask and work independently

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • set up workstation with needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • safely use kitchen utensils including knives and other tools
  • operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, recipes, policies, and procedures
  • handle, store, label, and rotate products according to state laws
  • stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations
  • understand menu items and responsible for prepping ingredients
  • multitask in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
  • stand for extended periods and perform other related duties as assigned
