Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of relevant cooking experience
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- minimum age of 18 years
- prior experience in cafeteria or large production facility preferred
- knowledge of safety procedures in food service environments

- experience working in a cafeteria or large volume production kitchen is a plus
- knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- ability to multitask and work independently
Job Duties
- Refer to Daily Prep List at start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
- set up workstation with needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- safely use kitchen utensils including knives and other tools
- operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
- comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, recipes, policies, and procedures
- handle, store, label, and rotate products according to state laws
- stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations
- understand menu items and responsible for prepping ingredients
- multitask in a high-volume kitchen environment
- handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
- stand for extended periods and perform other related duties as assigned
