Job Requirements

  • legal authorization to work in the us
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one
  • reliable transportation to the work location

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
  • know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers
  • assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • assist others in closing the kitchen
  • attend all scheduled team meetings and training and bring suggestions for improvements
  • perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing, bussing
