Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in line cooking preferred
- Ability to work the specified full-time schedule Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Ability to comply with safety and hygiene protocols including the use of cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
- Capability to perform physical tasks related to kitchen work including safe lifting techniques
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required
Job Qualifications
- Previous line cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of preparing food in accordance with federal, state and corporate food safety standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food preparation instructions
- Experience in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food storage standards
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely
- Strong record-keeping skills during service
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Basic knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety regulations
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and responsible for records from area worked during service periods
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as needed
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
