Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • 1 year of culinary/kitchen experience (high-volume establishment preferred)
  • working knowledge of executing recipes
  • ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  • regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
  • interface with computer systems with precision
  • ability to handle kitchen and service equipment

Job Duties

  • follows recipes to timely fill food orders of consistent taste, quality, and presentation
  • prepares and sets up food for all stations according to par sheet specifications
  • provides feedback to kitchen management about the effectiveness of existing pars
  • supports kitchen management's attempts to control food costs by proper rotating, storing, labeling, and preparing of all food
  • maintains awareness of kitchen equipment, food levels, etc. and advises kitchen management of any potential for concern or outage
  • fosters positive working relationships and good communication both within the kitchen team as well as amongst other restaurant teams
  • enforces and adheres to all safety regulations as required by the position and the company's safety program
  • enforces and adheres to all sanitation initiatives as required by the position and the company's sanitation program
  • ensures that all checklists are completed within prescribed timeframes
