Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
  • Ability to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas
  • Must meet all state, county, or municipal health regulations regarding food handling
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must pass all required tests and training for the position
  • Must maintain Denny's uniform and grooming standards throughout the shift

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read tickets, recipes, and product specifications
  • Basic math skills including understanding units of measure
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Reasonable ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
  • Dependable and able to follow instructions
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present food to order following company menu and food specifications
  • Adhere to all safe food handling principles and regulations
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and stock levels
  • Organize and maintain work areas, coolers, and storage areas
  • Assist with product inventory and deliveries
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Address guest complaints promptly and courteously
