Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum of one year of cooking experience
- Experience in high-volume or casual dining restaurants preferred
- Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods
- Ability to handle frequent immersion of hands in water and chemicals
- Comfortable working with sharp knives, utensils, and hot surfaces
- Willingness to work in a hot environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Experience in high volume and casual dining restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Familiarity with soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods at various stations including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and eggs
- Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
- Provide high-quality service to customers and associates
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items
- Estimate food requirements and keep records for production planning
- Clean and sanitize work stations and kitchen equipment
- Operate kitchen equipment and measure and mix ingredients while maintaining food safety standards
