Job Requirements
- Two years of full-service, from-scratch cooking experience required
- Ability to work full-time schedule including Wednesday through Sunday
- Willingness to work prep cook (AM) and line cook (PM) shifts
- Ability to adhere to food safety and company policies
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Two years of full-service, from-scratch cooking experience
- Ability to prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Ability to follow established procedures and ticket collection protocols
- Experience maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to personal and workplace safety practices
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records from area worked
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
- Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- follow HACCP standards
- Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others
- Abide by all Company policies and procedures including use of medium weight cut gloves when handling knives and other cutting instruments, oven mitts and gloves when handling hot pans, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
