Job Requirements

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education
  • Must have Serve Safe of Sanitation certification
  • Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
  • Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet
  • Be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Serve Safe of Sanitation certification
  • Ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
  • Experience in food preparation within healthcare or similar settings preferred
  • Knowledge of dietary procedures and food safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Director of Food Services
  • Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
  • Review care plans to assure that current dietary information is consistent with foods served
  • Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders
  • Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary
