Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • Possess or willing to obtain Serv-Safe certification upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and the required meal prep techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and display team behaviors
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict or customer complaints
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • Knowledge of and compliance with community quality standards
  • Ability to short order cook
  • Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff
  • Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures
  • Prepare and present high quality food items
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock with the Food Service Director
  • Read and follow recipes to ensure product consistency
  • Prepare and serve food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner
  • Assist in meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
