Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year cooking experience in a similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to read and follow detailed recipes
- Ability to work afternoons and flexible shifts
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in a similar position
- Experience and/or knowledge of special diets, meal preparation for large groups preferred
- Safe food handling techniques
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work shifting schedules
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
Job Duties
- Assists in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
- Prepares and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner
- Follows food safety and health regulations strictly
- Collaborates with kitchen and care staff to accommodate special dietary needs
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Handles food inventory and storage appropriately
