The Back-of-House (BOH) team is the heart of the Shakey's experience. Individuals who join the BOH play a crucial role in ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. The BOH team members engage in food preparation tasks such as rolling fresh dough, cooking Shakey's signature pizzas, chicken, and Mojo's, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the kitchen. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working behind the scenes and take pride in preparing quality food. The company offers a starting pay rate of $16.50 per hour, recognizing the essential contribution of BOH team members.

Positions within the BOH include Cook, Buffet Attendant, Dough Roller, and Dishwasher. New team members initially focus on one station but are encouraged to become skilled across all BOH functions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food following Shakey's guidelines and safe food handling procedures
  • Set up and re-stock food items on the buffet line and salad bar
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food products and ingredients
  • Stock station with ingredients and supplies, as required
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation work area
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors
  • Place dirty dishes and utensils in dishwasher
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays
  • Perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned BOH station
  • Assist other BOH and FOH stations
  • All other duties, as assigned.
