Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification in applicable states
- At least one year of cooking experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand English
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
- Willingness to work Sunday through Thursday
- Availability to work 6:00 am to 2:30 pm shifts
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work in Utah and Idaho
- One or more years of experience as a Cook preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- Understanding of workflow, prioritization, and deadlines
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service preferred
- Experience with modified diet food preparation preferred
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks food items
- Serves customers in catering, retail, or patient care settings
- Follows recipes and instructions accurately
- Prepares bulk food, specialty meals, and catered items
- Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment
- Ensures proper food production quantities with rotation
- Delivers patient meals, handles cashier duties, stocks supplies, and operates ware-washing machines
