Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination
- Effective verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Food handler permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- Ability to understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills preferred
- Knowledge of preparing food according to modified diets preferred
- Experience using commercial cooking equipment preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and instructions
- Serve customers across catering, retail, and patient care venues
- Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
- Prepare bulk food items and assemble specialty meals
- Operate automatic and manual ware-washing machines
- Deliver patient meals, cashier, and stock supplies as needed
- Rotate food products to maintain appropriate production quantities
