Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of cooking, kitchen management and food service experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to adhere to food safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Ability to use office equipment including phone, fax, copier
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Teamwork and collaborative skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Function effectively in fast-paced environment
- Maintain detailed inventory and purchasing records
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations
- Adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Current CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Adherence to infection control procedures including temperature monitoring, hand washing, masking and social distancing
- Support High Reliability standards of the organization
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of cooking, kitchen management and food services experience
- Strong customer service experience including active listening, problem solving and ability to remain calm in emotional or stressful situations
- Ability to use standard office equipment including phone, fax, copier
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment respecting diverse perspectives
- Ability to maintain appropriate roles and boundaries among clients, peers, and stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved populations including low-income, disabled, homeless, substance users, and those with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Commitment to HIPAA, professional ethics, and confidentiality
- Current CPR and first aid certificate or willingness to be trained within 90 days of employment
Job Duties
- Receive meals from outside agency
- Plate and serve meals, prepare snacks and sack lunches
- Ensure food and snacks are fresh and not expired
- Maintain inventory and ordering of kitchen/dining supplies and food
- Handle and store food ingredients safely
- Maintain food safety based on sanitation standards and other regulations
- Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Maintain and restock snack area
- Adhere to state and local food preparation and storage regulations
- Coordinate and facilitate all inspections related to food preparation
- Maintain kitchen, cafeteria space, snack space, storage area, receiving deck are clean and organized
- Load and unload all food shipments
- Kindly greet patients and visitors, answer questions and assist as necessary
- Create an inviting environment for our patients
- Collaborate with program staff on patient dietary needs
- Attend regular meetings with management and team
- Check and respond to emails at minimum of three (3) times per day
- Other duties as assigned
