Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year related cooking experience
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist for extended periods
  • Ability to work with sharp knives and hot equipment
  • Ability to work in hot kitchen environments
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety practices
  • Experience in high-volume or casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to read, comprehend instructions and converse effectively
  • Familiarity with soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation techniques

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods across multiple stations including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg stations
  • Follow recipes and product directions for seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Measure, mix ingredients, and prepare fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products to ensure food safety
