Job Qualifications

  • Be a self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
  • ability to work rotating shifts including holidays, weekends, and overtime
  • strong organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • ability to read and interpret loading instructions, diagrams, and food menu specifications
  • highly flexible and analytical pro-active team player
  • excellent knowledge of food and hygiene standards
  • hold a valid Food Handlers Certificate recognized by local authorities such as SERV Safe
  • meticulous time management skills with attention to detail
  • airline catering industry knowledge is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage prep-cooks and helpers
  • comply with all food safety rules and regulations
  • read and execute corporate recipes accurately
  • clean and sanitize stations as needed and at the end of shifts
  • keep waste logs up-to-date for financial control
  • complete all food safety quality logs in real time
  • follow working and batch recipes using proper tools such as scales and scoops
