Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Secondary school degree preferred
  • Previous work experience in service for at least 2 years
  • Ability to comprehend and use basic language to communicate
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to perform basic numerical operations
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and staff
  • Fluency in English
  • Additional languages preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow kitchen safety procedures at all times
  • Follow handwashing and other personal and kitchen sanitation procedures at all times
  • Report safety, sanitation, and other similar violations to the chef
  • Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, and others according to instructions
  • Set up stations with utensils, equipment, and needed items
  • Receive and store food according to standards ensuring proper rotation and temperature
  • Review production schedule at the beginning of each shift to stock necessary items
  • Prepare all food items according to recipe cards, plating guides, and photographs
  • Maintain cleanliness by disposing of trash, wiping work areas, and cleaning equipment
  • Follow health and safety guidelines when storing and handling toxic substances
  • Maintain positive communication with all staff
  • Provide recognition to co-workers and supervisors
  • Participate in meetings about products, procedures, and special events
  • Ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Be knowledgeable of property facilities and services to assist guests
  • Promote property outlets and assist guests in finding locations
  • Resolve guest complaints using property procedures
  • Create a positive environment for employee potential
  • Listen to feedback to improve performance
  • Work as a team to deliver amplified service
  • Participate in shift meetings
  • Always greet others warmly
  • Know and practice the brand's mission and values with enthusiasm
  • Take initiative to offer assistance throughout the property
