Job Requirements
- minimum one year of experience in a professional kitchen culinary role
- ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- willingness to work flexible shifts
- ability to comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- ability to use basic kitchen equipment
- strong commitment to food safety and quality
- valid eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- minimum one year of experience in a professional kitchen culinary role
- knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety
- ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of HACCP guidelines
- basic math skills for portion control and inventory
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- ability to work flexible shifts
- high school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
- prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
- complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- taste completed meals to ensure quality
- operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- store, label and date all food items according to policy
- follow HACCP guidelines
- complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
- comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
- complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
- resolve customer concerns
- perform other duties as assigned
