We are currently welcoming applications for the Cook 1 position to join our esteemed Food & Beverage team at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. This role is fundamental in delivering culinary excellence, requiring passion, precision, and dedication to the art of cooking. The Cook 1 is tasked with preparing specialized, innovative cuisine to meet exacting production and quality standards while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team to ensure flawless dish execution. This position not only demands skill but also an enthusiasm for ongoing learning and growth, reflecting the company’s commitment to career development and employee advancement.
The role offers competitive compensation, within the range of $27.16 to $28.66 per hour, alongside exceptional benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a robust retirement plan with employer matching. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid work authorization for the U.S.
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods
- Commitment to workplace safety and sanitation
Job Qualifications
- ServeSafe certification
- Proficient knife skills
- ServeSafe allergen training
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
- Highly developed sense of taste and comprehensive sauce preparation skills
- High school graduate
- Apprenticeship, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred
Job Duties
