Job Description

Invited is a leading company in the hospitality and service industry known for its commitment to building lasting relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and more than 17,000 employees nationwide. Established in 1957, Invited has grown to become the largest owner and operator of private country clubs across the United States, managing over 130 clubs that include country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs. These clubs offer a variety of first-class amenities such as championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and fitness centers, creating an inclusive and dynamic environment for members and employees alike.

Invited is currently seeking a Cook 1 to join their kitchen team. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals eager to develop foundational culinary skills under the guidance of experienced kitchen staff. As a Cook 1, the employee will be responsible for setting up, preparing, and organizing their workstation to support daily kitchen operations. This role emphasizes basic food preparation tasks, ensuring consistent quality and presentation under the supervision of Cook 2 and Cook 3 team members.

The Cook 1 will play a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of their work area, proper food storage, and assisting with the production of food and beverage items. Since Invited venues cater to a diverse and discerning clientele, the role also requires professional interaction with members and guests, accommodating special requests and last-minute changes, and supporting service excellence through the company's 3-steps of service. The candidate will report directly to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef, participating in daily briefings to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success.

The position requires a solid willingness to learn, adaptability, and the ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Ensuring compliance with the company’s safety guidelines and maintaining a high level of professionalism reflects Invited’s commitment to excellence. In addition, the Cook 1 must be physically capable of performing kitchen duties, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and working in various temperature conditions. This position also involves using primary kitchen tools such as knives, pots, pans, and food storage containers.

Invited offers a robust total rewards package including competitive pay based on skills and experience, comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off. Full-time employees can access this package while part-time employees receive pro-rated benefits as required by law. Invited fosters a culture that values employee growth, teamwork, and inclusivity, encouraging employees to take initiative in their personal and professional development.
