The role available is at the JetBlue Lodge, a full-service, 200-room lodging facility located within the Orlando International Airport campus. The lodge complements the JetBlue Training Center, designed to cater to the needs of new-hire orientations, ongoing pilot and crew training, JetBlue executives, vendors, and partners. Equipped with recreational facilities, a high-end café, bar/lounge, meeting spaces, and grab-and-go options, the lodge serves as the central social hub or "Living Room" of the JetBlue Training Campus. It provides four-star lodging and excellent service that aligns seamlessly with JetBlue's culture and brand identity.

This Culinary Cook position is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts who are keen on growing their skills in a high-energy, world-class kitchen environment. Successful candidates will be creative, motivated, and eager to develop their culinary talents by working closely with experienced culinary leadership teams. The role involves assisting in the production and fabrication of food products for a variety of dining experiences, including banquets, cafeterias, and fine dining settings.

Key responsibilities include developing proficiency in diverse cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, and frying. The cook will gain hands-on experience with kitchen equipment and knife skills, learn to recreate recipes accurately, ensure consistent food preparation, and apply food waste reduction methods through cross-utilization. Maintaining a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment, proper storage of food items, and quality control of ingredients are also essential duties.

Candidates should have 2-3 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen setting and demonstrate a strong desire to advance their skills and career in culinary arts. A Food Handler's Certification is required or should be attainable soon after joining. The role demands flexibility with shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Organizational skills, the ability to work independently, physical stamina to stand for prolonged periods, and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds are also necessary.
