Job Description
Invited is a leading organization in the hospitality and service industry, recognized as the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide. Since its establishment in 1957, Invited has cultivated a rich legacy centered on building meaningful relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and a workforce exceeding 17,000 employees. Featuring over 130 distinguished clubs, including country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs, Invited’s portfolio offers an array of first-class amenities such as championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, advanced racquet facilities, and well-equipped fitness centers. This impressive network reflects the company's commitment to exceptional service, luxury experiences, and community building within a diverse and inclusive team environment. Joining Invited means becoming part of an organization that prioritizes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous growth in every facet of its operations.
The role of Cook 1 at Invited is an essential entry-level position within its dynamic kitchen operations, focusing on the fundamental tasks of food preparation and workstation management. As a Cook 1, the individual is responsible for setting up and organizing their workstation, performing daily prep tasks, and assisting in the production of a variety of food and beverage items. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and develop their culinary skills under the guidance of more experienced cooks, including Cook 2 and Cook 3 team members. The position requires close collaboration with kitchen leadership, such as the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef, to ensure all food preparation adheres to Invited’s high-quality standards and food safety protocols. The Cook 1 must maintain cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen, manage proper storage of food goods, and support the production of daily specials, salads, entrees, and other menu items.
Beyond food preparation, the Cook 1 will engage professionally with members and guests, responding to special requests, accommodating last-minute changes, and contributing to a positive service environment. The role is critical in maintaining the kitchen’s operational flow, supporting team members, and embodying Invited’s commitment to excellence through the 3-steps of service. While this is primarily a hands-on cooking role, it also demands initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to both personal growth and team success. Candidates will have opportunities to advance by gaining experience, maintaining required certifications, and demonstrating a dedication to quality and service within the club’s vibrant and fast-paced dining environment.
Invited offers competitive compensation based on skills, experience, and location, with additional hours needed during peak periods such as weekends and holidays. The organization also provides full-time employees access to a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off programs. This role invites passionate culinary professionals to contribute to a renowned hospitality brand committed to exceptional member experiences and supportive work culture.
