Job Requirements

  • 1 year of related experience preferred
  • food handler certification if applicable
  • ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations with professionalism
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift and move 10-25 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs, and minimally up to 75-100+ lbs
  • ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, crouch, and perform other physical tasks
  • mental ability to multitask, communicate verbally and handle interruptions
  • willingness to maintain workplace cleanliness and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous experience in a related or supportive culinary role preferred
  • proficiency with cooking including garde manger, sauté station, fry station, and grill station
  • ability to work at a high level of performance across all meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • knowledge of knife skills and basic kitchen equipment
  • food handler certification if applicable
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • ability to multitask under pressure
  • flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • follow departmental policies and restaurant rules and regulations
  • report any maintenance or repairs needed to the Executive Chef
  • prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices
  • comply consistently with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including grills, broilers, fryers, and refrigeration equipment
  • provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests
  • demonstrate, prepare and execute menu items according to item specifications
  • produce food on a timely basis with knowledge of the menu
  • assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, and walk-in areas
