Job Requirements

  • One year of experience as a cook in a commercial food service facility
  • or possession of a Certificate of Completion in culinary arts and/or Foods and Hospitality Service from a certified community college or technical school
  • ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism during busy periods
  • ability to prioritize duties

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily specials and entrees in the kitchen
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • keep accurate records of food preparation and inventory
  • oversee and direct Food Service Worker 2 staff and student employees
  • develop daily work plans for assigned kitchen areas
  • monitor and maintain food safety and sanitation according to HACCP guidelines
  • provide ongoing training to kitchen staff and student employees
