Combining the strong leadership and global presence of Marriott International, Gaylord Hotels prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive work culture that celebrates the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates. The company is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and cultivating a welcoming workplace where individuals feel valued and empowered to be their best selves.

This position is an exciting opportunity to join Gaylord Hotels' Food and Beverage & Culinary department as a full-time non-management team member located at the Opryland Drive location in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Banquet Coordinator or Reception Coordinator, you will be integral in ensuring the successful execution of banquets and events. Your role will involve liaising with group coordinators or hosts before events to discuss and confirm arrangements. You will analyze banquet event orders thoroughly to gather detailed guest information and identify specific needs, such as buffet styles, food stations, and timeline requirements. Attention to detail is critical to accommodate all special banquet preparations and ensure that every guest's experience meets the highest standards.

Your workday will require adherence to company safety policies and procedures, necessitating vigilance in reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. You will complete safety training and certifications to uphold a secure working environment. Maintaining a polished and professional appearance is essential, supporting the image and ethos of Gaylord Hotels. Confidentiality and respect for company information and assets are paramount, alongside fostering a teamwork mindset built on dignity and mutual respect. You will perform a variety of physical tasks such as moving, lifting, and transporting items up to 25 pounds, along with standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods.

Effective communication skills are vital for this role, whether greeting guests in accordance with company standards, speaking clearly with colleagues and guests, or managing phone correspondence professionally. Your responsibilities also include reporting any issues promptly, supporting team goals, and complying with quality assurance standards. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will contribute to creating seamless and exceptional banquet events that reflect the Gaylord Hotels commitment to excellence.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.00 and an opportunity to engage in a rewarding hospitality career with one of the industry leaders. Joining Gaylord Hotels means becoming part of a global team committed not only to outstanding guest service but also to associate development, diversity, and inclusion.
