Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years convention services, catering and hotel operations experience
- Experience in a large convention hotel
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Administration or related discipline preferred
Job Qualifications
- Strong culinary and beverage knowledge and interest
- Knowledge and understanding of the hotel guest room inventory
- Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively with acute attention to detail
- Assertive, professional and positive approach with ability to develop and lead in a team environment
- Ability to develop strong professional relationships with vendors, guests and employees
- Effective communication skills and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff

Job Duties
- Manage and execute the terms of the contract for group programs as outlined by the sales manager and Fontainebleau standards
- Maximize food, beverage and auxiliary revenues by selling menus, themes and experiences or activities
- Communicate all details of assigned groups, conventions, weddings, programs to all departments professionally and in a timely manner using Convention Resumes, Banquet Event Orders and internal correspondence
- Establish close working relationships with clients and Fontainebleau team members
- Efficiently reserve and utilize function space to maximize revenues while minimizing space consumption
- Facilitate pre-conference meetings with clients and key hotel staff
- Work closely with clients and hotel departments throughout assigned programs by providing assistance and information at appropriate times
- Maintain a high level of service by providing accurate and timely information and feedback
- Adhere to all standards and procedures as outlined by Fontainebleau
- Accurately forecast banquet revenue, covers and average checks based on group assignments
- Conduct pre-planning site meetings and assist in the sales process where required
- Maintain the integrity of Sales and Catering at all times
- Perform other related duties as assigned
