Nestle9 is a global leader in nutrition, health, and wellness, dedicated to delivering high-quality products that improve the lives of millions of people and their pets worldwide. Founded with a legacy of integrity and innovation, Nestle9 operates across various sectors including food, beverages, pet care, and health science, making a positive impact through responsible sourcing, sustainable practices, and community engagement. The company's Atlanta factory, established in 1972, has evolved into a state-of-the-art facility committed to both excellence in production and environmental stewardship, producing renowned dry pet food brands such as Alpoae, Benefulae, Cat Chowae, Dog Chowae, Friskiesae, Purina ONEae, and Pro Planae. This facility annually manufactures approximately 460,000 tons of pet food, playing a vital role in the pet care industry while contributing responsibly to the environment through water conservation, renewable energy investments, and zero waste initiatives.

Located in the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta, the factory benefits from being part of a vibrant economic hub known for its commercial vitality and diverse industries, including logistics, entertainment, and healthcare. With nearly 6 million residents living in this region, the factory not only supports the local economy but also provides rewarding career opportunities for associates who are passionate about pet wellness and innovation.

The role of Controls Technical Specialist II at Nestle9's Atlanta facility is a critical position that involves providing expert technical support to manufacturing operations. This role emphasizes maintaining and enhancing the control systems that underpin the production processes, including implementing software upgrades, troubleshooting electrical and controls issues, and supporting capital improvement projects. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI (Human Machine Interface), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, ensuring that all control solutions comply with safety standards and company policies.

This role is highly specialized and demands a proactive approach to continuous improvement projects geared towards optimizing plant effectiveness and resolving recurring operational challenges. The Controls Technical Specialist II will collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance and operations teams to ensure smooth production workflows, while also participating in training and development to elevate the skills of maintenance staff. Additionally, the position requires involvement in strategic planning for the plant's long-term electrical and control infrastructure upgrades, positioning the facility for future innovation and operational excellence.

Employment in this role offers a competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $115,000, reflecting the combination of technical expertise required and the significance of the responsibilities. Nestle9 supports its employees with a performance-based incentive program and a comprehensive total rewards package that includes 401k with company match, healthcare options, and other substantial benefits. This is a full-time opportunity that invites candidates who are passionate about technology, innovation, and advancing pet care to join a company deeply committed to inclusivity, diversity, and career growth.

Nestle9 fosters an inclusive work environment that values veterans, individuals with disabilities, and talent from diverse backgrounds, recognizing the importance of skills like flexibility, leadership, and agility. The company proudly adheres to equal employment opportunity practices and provides accommodations to ensure an accessible recruitment process. This role does not offer visa sponsorship and encourages applicants to review the privacy notice related to job applications before applying. Joining Nestle9 means contributing to a people-and-pet-centric mission and becoming part of a team driven by shared passions and a dedication to excellence.
