Established over two decades ago, Bloom Energy has been at the vanguard of the energy transition, providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions to a diverse range of critical industries including AI-driven data centers, hospitals, electric grids, manufacturing facilities, and utilities. With more than 30,000 fuel cell modules deployed worldwide, Bloom Energy counts many Fortune 100 companies among its valued customers, exemplifying trusted partnerships propelled by cutting-edge, time-to-power capabilities and unmatched system reliability. The company’s relentless focus on collaboration and innovation underscores its commitment to tackling the world’s most pressing energy challenges, creating a brighter and more sustainable future.
We are currently seeking a Control Center Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team based in San Jose, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about advancing clean energy technologies and contributing to an energy-positive future. The role requires full-time, on-site commitment with a first shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Control Center Operations Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Control Center Operations and play a pivotal part in maintaining the operational excellence of Bloom Energy’s systems deployed at customer sites.
As a Control Center Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of system installations, promptly responding to system alarms, and executing necessary actions to mitigate issues. This role demands maintaining detailed logs to document events and troubleshooting efforts. You will also serve as a critical support link by analyzing system issues and assisting Field Service Technicians remotely in resolving complex technical challenges. When necessary, you will escalate unresolved issues to supervisors and relevant support groups, ensuring swift and effective resolution. The position requires a proactive, analytical individual with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision are essential. Experience in a 24/7 operations environment, working rotating shifts, and the flexibility to support an 8-hour shift regime are also key components of this role. A minimum educational requirement includes a high school diploma or community college education.
The salary range for this position is $28.02 to $40.32 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive compensation for talent dedicated to energy innovation. At Bloom Energy, we embrace diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, ensuring fair consideration for all applicants regardless of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, or disability.
