Job Description
Performance Team is a distinguished company known for fostering a culture rooted in honesty and integrity, which underpins the trust they build with both their customers and their employees. This culture is one of the main reasons that their workforce remains loyal and their clientele continually chooses to work with them. The company places a high value on its people, seeing them as the key differentiator in a competitive market. If you are searching for a workplace that feels like a family and prioritizes a supportive and inclusive environment, Performance Team stands out as a perfect fit. Their values and commitment create a workplace where individuals can thrive personally and professionally.
Performance Team specializes in managing comprehensive warehousing and distribution logistics by leveraging a strategically positioned network of storage facilities. These facilities are fully equipped to receive, store, process, and dispatch cargo efficiently, contributing to the flexibility and resilience of the supply chain. Their integrated logistics solutions allow the company to anticipate and prepare for various supply chain disruptions, enabling better planning and distribution to meet lead times and organizational goals despite unexpected challenges. The company's vast experience and deep expertise span multiple sectors, industries, and transportation modes, ensuring excellence in processes that ultimately save time and reduce costs.
We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Contract Driver Recruiter who will play an essential role in powering our transportation workforce across both the United States and Canada. This role is full-time and requires on-site presence. The incumbent will take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle — from sourcing and hiring to onboarding top CDL and non-CDL company drivers. An important part of the role is to convert temporary drivers into long-term employees, ensuring stability and continuity in our operational teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to be actively involved in high-impact recruitment activities and to connect talented individuals with meaningful career opportunities.
As a Contract Driver Recruiter, you will handle recruiting across a variety of truck operations, including tractor and straight truck markets. You will be responsible for proactively sourcing candidates via diverse channels such as job boards, social media, referrals, and targeted recruitment campaigns. Your role extends to interviewing and assessing candidates to ensure they meet experience, qualification, and cultural fit standards. Maintaining compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company hiring policies is crucial in this role, which involves conducting background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, and drug screenings. You will manage candidate records meticulously and maintain administrative processing of all disqualification files while clearly communicating job expectations, compensation, schedules, and benefits to candidates.
This position requires strong collaboration with operations, human resources, and workforce teams to meet staffing goals effectively. Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, particularly Tenstreet, is essential as it aids in managing all candidate activities. Supporting new hire engagement and retention through persistent communication post-hiring is also part of your responsibilities.
The pay range for this role is competitive, between $35 and $40 per hour, subject to variation based on location and prevailing market conditions. The company recognizes the value of diverse experiences and perspectives and is proud to offer an equal opportunity workplace. They embrace inclusivity and provide accommodations as needed to ensure a fair recruiting process for all applicants.
