The Consultant role within Deloitte's Human Capital team is a dynamic position focused on supporting Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) implementations for Federal clients. Consultants translate client requirements into aligned HR business processes and configuration inputs, ensuring that the technology optimally supports human resources operations. This role involves contributing to pre-implementation readiness and planning activities, tracking deliverables and milestones, and assisting with discovery and current-state assessments to design future HR processes. Consultants also provide functional support during implementation by demonstrating Workday capabilities and advising on best practices to inform client decisions. Collaboration with technical and functional leads is essential to achieve alignment across security, reporting, integrations, and data conversion impacting Core HR. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience with business process design and re-design
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Workday HCM certification(s)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% occasionally
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience with business process design and re-design
  • Active Top Secret security clearance

  • Ability to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Job Duties

  • Supporting the functional design for a Workday Human Capital Management implementation by translating Federal client requirements into aligned Core HR business processes and configuration inputs
  • Supporting the Workday Core HR workstream through pre-implementation readiness and planning activities including deliverables and milestone tracking
  • Assisting with pre-implementation discovery and readiness efforts including current-state assessments, future-state process design, requirements validation, and tracking functional risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
  • Providing Workday functional support by demonstrating Workday capabilities, advising on leading practices and trade-offs, and helping inform client decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining pre-implementation work products including process maps, requirements and design documentation, configuration workbooks, and inputs for data, security, testing, and cutover readiness
  • Collaborating with technical and adjacent functional leads to support end-to-end alignment across security, reporting, integrations, and data conversion impacts to Core HR
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
