Job Requirements
- Five or more years of experience performing field construction materials testing required
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I Certification required
- Effective communication skills written, verbal, and listening
- Solid interpersonal skills
- External or task related certifications based on region and state may be required
- Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
- Ability to read and understand work plans
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to climb occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience performing field construction materials testing
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I Certification
- Effective communication skills including written, verbal, and listening
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
- Ability to read and understand work plans
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
- External or task related certifications based on region and state may be required
- Additional industry certifications such as ACI, ICC, TDOT are highly preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience performing field and/or construction materials testing and/or inspections is preferred
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision or from detailed controlled procedures
- Operate testing equipment and conduct testing such as soil and concrete tests, provide assessment of data through reporting
- Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams for testing and inspections
- Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform assigned tasks
- Make detailed observations and give limited interpretation of test results
- Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
- Operate a calculator to calculate mathematical test results
- Communicate effectively with client and project teams
- Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal and others safety on site
