Barringer Construction is a distinguished Carolinas-based commercial general contractor with offices located in Asheville, Charlotte, Greenville, and Raleigh. Established as a leader in the construction industry, Barringer specializes in a diverse range of sectors including corporate interiors, hospitality, life sciences, mission critical, industrial, and healthcare projects throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and beyond. The company is 100% employee-owned through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), fostering a unique, collaborative workplace culture where every team member has a vested interest in the company’s success. Barringer Construction has earned the accolade of being named the #1 Best Employer in North Carolina by Business NC Magazine for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025), evidence of its commitment to excellence, employee satisfaction, and the embodiment of "The Barringer Way."
Barringer Construction is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join their Greenville, SC office. This leadership role involves managing multiple complex commercial construction projects simultaneously, from initial pursuit through to successful closeout. The Senior Project Manager will be entrusted with guiding high-performing teams to deliver projects on budget, on schedule, and according to stringent quality standards. The role demands a leader who can build trust with clients and internal teams quickly, inspiring and mentoring project managers, assistant project managers, and project engineers to cultivate the next generation of company leaders.
As a Senior Project Manager at Barringer, you will play a key role in shaping project strategies, driving client engagement, and ensuring financial success through contract negotiation, budget creation, and cost projection. You will spearhead pursuit interviews and pricing efforts, emphasizing collaboration and strategic decision-making to win new work. This role calls for a polished and confident presence in client-facing settings, including meetings, presentations, and interviews, representing Barringer with professionalism and authority.
The company offers a robust benefits package that underlines its commitment to employee wellbeing and development. Benefits include 100% employer-paid premiums for dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, flexible paid time off after the first year, tuition reimbursement programs, wellness initiatives, pet insurance, and annual donations to charities that employees care about. This comprehensive package supports a healthy work-life balance and ongoing professional growth.
Joining Barringer means becoming part of a trusted and respected organization that values trust, mentorship, and strategic foresight. The work environment balances office duties and active construction site presence, exposing the Senior Project Manager to a range of conditions such as stairs, ladders, dust, and temperature variations. Flexibility to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on project requirements is essential. Barringer Construction is also steadfastly committed to equal opportunity employment and maintaining a workplace free from harassment and discrimination, ensuring all employees can thrive in an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
