Construction Quality Control Manager

The Construction Quality Control Manager (CQM) position offered by GY6 is a critical role focused on military fueling system projects. This role is remote-based, providing flexibility while maintaining the high standards required for defense-related construction efforts. The CQM is primarily responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Performance Work Statement and the Contractor Quality Control Plan. This includes planning, designing, implementing, and managing quality control and quality assurance processes specifically related to construction, fuel systems, environmental remediation, and demolition projects. The manager will oversee the quality documentation and monitor deliverables meticulously, supporting project success from inception through closeout.

The ideal candidate will engage in developing Quality Control Project Plans, highlight Definable Features of Work, establish inspection and testing criteria, and document field quality issues using defined logs and reports. This hands-on involvement ensures that all project benchmarks align with regulatory standards and company policies. Additionally, the CQM will conduct site audits verifying adherence to specifications, track submittals and approvals, and coordinate with project teams to resolve Requests for Information (RFIs). Managing third-party testing logistics and maintaining robust quality achievement across all projects are also key elements of the role.
