The position available is for a Construction Project Manager based in Charlotte, NC, specializing in office operations within the construction industry. This role is well-suited for experienced professionals who thrive in managing large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will lead and oversee the full project lifecycle, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, design partners, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role demands exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and contracts. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder with strong communication skills, capable of representing Barringer Construction confidently in client meetings and pursuit interviews. Experience with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is essential, and familiarity with Viewpoint Vista will be considered a plus. The Project Manager will also be responsible for risk management, problem-solving, and maintaining alignment among all stakeholders throughout the project duration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years as an acting Project Manager on commercial construction projects
  • 6+ years total in the commercial construction industry
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Confidence reading blueprints, specs, and contracts
  • Ability to move around construction sites safely and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Some travel between projects and offices
  • Availability for occasional early mornings or late days as project milestones require
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent industry experience

Job Duties

  • Lead all phases of the project life cycle from planning and estimating through execution and closeout
  • Own project budgets, track costs, and keep financials on target
  • Build and drive the project schedule, keeping every stakeholder aligned
  • Strengthen relationships with clients, design partners, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Deliver clear, timely communication and updates to clients and internal teams
  • Review plans, specs, and contracts to spot risks early and solve problems proactively
  • Partner with superintendents and field leadership to ensure quality, safety, and craftsmanship on every jobsite
  • Represent Barringer in pursuit interviews and client-facing settings with confidence and polish
