The technician will support the team by communicating regularly with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding project requirements and testing results to ensure compliance and quality assurance. Key responsibilities include transporting material samples to laboratories, preparing detailed reports documenting findings, maintaining and cleaning equipment and vehicles, and adhering strictly to safety protocols. This position involves progressive training and increased responsibility, placing the technician on a development path toward advanced roles within Terracon. Additionally, the technician will assist with scheduling and dispatching other technicians to various project sites, further supporting team efficiency.

Working within Terracon’s geotechnical services team, this role supports a wide range of projects nationally by utilizing decades of historical geotechnical data and resources, including a large fleet of drill rigs and numerous laboratories accredited for material testing. The company integrates innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and predictive analytics alongside traditional exploration methods to provide clients with accurate subsurface data and expert engineering solutions. This blend of innovation and hands-on experience offers technicians a dynamic and growth-oriented work environment where quality, safety, sustainability, and client satisfaction are prioritized. The role requires a valid driver’s license and involves driving vehicles such as Ford F-150 trucks to project sites, emphasizing the importance of mobility and field presence. Safety is paramount; technicians are tasked with pre-task planning, reporting safety concerns, and maintaining high standards on all assignments.
