Construction Manager II/III (Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Industrial) - Traveling

The Construction Manager role at Dennis Group is a crucial position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction activities on site. This includes coordinating subcontractors, implementing and maintaining site safety programs, managing project schedules, and controlling budgets to ensure projects are delivered successfully on time and within financial constraints. Working both in the field and office, the Construction Manager acts as the primary liaison among multiple stakeholders, including engineers, architects, owners, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. This role demands strong communication skills, technical expertise in construction management software, and an ability to work autonomously on medium-sized industrial projects.

The successful candidate will be tasked with contract administration, project planning and scheduling, project reporting, and providing advisory support on project management issues. Due to the traveling nature of projects, the position requires up to 100% travel to diverse locations throughout the United States and Canada, operating on a 10 days on/4 days off on-site schedule. The role is highly dynamic and requires physical stamina as the manager will spend extended periods inspecting uneven terrains and engaging directly with the tasks at hand. This position is full-time and on-site based, located primarily out of Jackson, Mississippi with projects across North America. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of industrial construction processes, budgeting, safety standards, and detailed knowledge of interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with design-build projects are considered strong assets.
