The Construction Manager role at Dennis Group is a pivotal position responsible for the oversight and successful execution of construction activities on assigned projects. This full-time, on-site role requires a skilled professional who can coordinate daily operations, manage sub-contractors, enforce safety programs, and maintain strict adherence to project schedules and budgets. Often working on medium to large industrial projects, the Construction Manager acts as the critical link between multiple engineering teams, designers, architects, and subcontractors. They facilitate communication and coordination, ensuring that construction progress aligns with design intent and client expectations.

This position demands a well-rounded individual proficient in contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and reporting. The Construction Manager will have autonomy in managing projects but also works collaboratively within project management teams to refine project scopes and deliverables. Essential to the job is the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, coordinate inspections, and manage third-party testing protocols. As a client-facing role, the Construction Manager must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with owners, subcontractors, building officials, and architectural and engineering teams.

Candidates will be expected to handle a variety of tasks, from preparing permit applications and managing change orders to performing engineering calculations and supporting facility start-ups. This role also encourages leadership and mentoring, as Construction Managers may supervise field engineers or junior construction managers and contribute to talent development within the organization.

Travel is a significant aspect of this job; Construction Managers are required to work on a 10 days on/4 days off schedule, supporting projects located across the United States and Canada. The role requires physical stamina to navigate construction sites with varying conditions and the capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
