Job Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED
- Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance
- Ability to perform construction inspection work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to participate in DOTD structured training programs and continuing education
- Capacity to interpret unforeseen conditions on construction sites
- Adherence to departmental policies and procedures
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with departmental policies, standards, specifications, and project plans
- Complete and process construction documentation such as field diaries, reports, and estimates
- Enter, review, and maintain construction project data in departmental systems such as MATT, Site Manager, and Content Manager
- Apply DOTD engineering policies and procedures at project engineer's office and construction sites
- Serve as the primary construction inspector in assigned areas of specialization or certification
- Determine material sampling requirements and verify materials, haul quantities, and survey elevations and alignments
- Complete required training and support efficient project operations, including assisting other staff as needed
