ABM is actively searching for a reliable and experienced Cleaner to join their team, focused specifically on maintaining cleanliness and safety across active construction zones. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that these dynamic and sometimes hazardous environments remain safe, tidy, and conducive to efficient project progress. The Cleaner is responsible for removing debris, dust, and hazardous materials that could pose risks to workers and site equipment. Key duties include cleaning floors, surfaces, restrooms, trailers, and equipment to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety. The role may also involve assisting with minor maintenance tasks and reporting any repair or safety concerns promptly to supervisors. This position is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, offering an opportunity to gain valued experience with on-the-job training provided. Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • no prior experience required on-the-job training provided
  • no high school diploma GED or college degree required

Job Qualifications

  • 1 year of similar work experience in janitorial or construction environments preferred
  • customer service experience preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
  • effective communication skills
  • physical stamina to handle manual tasks
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • basic understanding of cleaning procedures and equipment

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain construction site facilities including trailers restrooms and common areas
  • follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures
  • notify supervisor of needed repairs or safety concerns
  • maintain effective communication with site personnel supervisors and team members
  • comply with all safety security compliance and quality standards set by the company and regulatory authorities
  • dust and clean furniture fixtures walls ceilings and equipment
  • move boxes crates and equipment to access cleaning areas manually or with hand trucks
  • clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate tools and solutions
  • wash and replace blinds as needed
  • gather and dispose of construction debris and trash
  • clean and sanitize restrooms and food service areas
  • adhere to all safety security compliance and quality standards set by the company clients and regulatory authorities
  • complete any other duties as assigned
