The manager will actively engage with meeting planners to ensure satisfaction and foster lasting business relationships. Leveraging deep knowledge of sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service, the Convention Services Manager will optimize room rental income, coordinate with multiple internal departments such as banquet and culinary services, and collaborate with external vendors to provide flawless event execution.
A strong candidate for this role will have substantial experience in hospitality, particularly catering sales, and be familiar with budgeting processes, forecasting, and the intricacies of hotel operations. They must demonstrate the ability to innovate by designing creative menus with the culinary team, developing unique event setups, and participating in industry groups like NACE and MPI.
