The Sales and Catering position within Azul Hospitality plays a pivotal role in supporting multiple properties in the portfolio. This role is designed to meticulously plan, organize, and coordinate group functions and guest rooms to align with hotel policies and quality benchmarks. The position requires a unique combination of customer relationship management, sales acumen, and operational oversight to maximize profitability and foster return business. The candidate will be instrumental in managing group and catering accounts from initial inquiry through onsite execution, ensuring a seamless client experience throughout the process.
This exempt staff role emphasizes proactive engagement with clients, including creating dynamic relationships from the sales phase through event completion. The professional in this position is responsible for achieving or exceeding food and beverage revenue minimums by identifying upselling opportunities such as room upgrades, audiovisual enhancements, and spa services. Furthermore, the role requires negotiating contracts, conducting inspiring site inspections, and maintaining accurate booking systems to uphold the highest standards of service delivery.
The Sales and Catering professional will also manage event details meticulously, encompassing banquet event orders, menu and wine selection, decoration coordination, and entertainment arrangements. They will collaborate closely with various hotel departments to ensure flawless event execution and exceptional guest satisfaction. This includes presiding over event schedules and planning meetings, communicating promptly with clients, and responding effectively to guest needs.

Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent from 4-year institution
- two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- one to two years experience in sales and/or catering in hospitality industry preferred
- ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license
- ability to travel occasionally as needed
- excellent communication skills
- intermediate computer skills
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to stand, walk, and exert mobility for extended periods
- ability to operate office equipment
- willingness to maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance

Job Duties
- Manage group and catering accounts to maximize business potential
