Job Description
Rapport is a specialized division of FLIK Hospitality Group, focused on delivering exceptional guest and employee services through expert meeting and event planning and conference center management. Unlike typical recruitment agencies, Rapport is committed to offering long-term career opportunities rather than temporary contracts, allowing their ambassadors to grow and thrive within a stable and supportive work environment. As part of Compass Group USA, a global leader in food and support services, Rapport embraces a vision centered on career development, comprehensive training, and a workplace culture that values diversity, innovation, and excellence.
This role, Conference Receptionist at BNY Boston, offers a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a professional team dedicated to delivering platinum-level hospitality services. Hourly pay ranges from $24 to $26, reflecting the significance of the position and the value placed on quality service. Working as a Conference Receptionist means being the welcoming face and voice for clients and visitors, providing the highest standards of service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The Conference Receptionist position requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can effectively manage the reception desk by greeting high-profile VIP clientele with warmth and professionalism. This role demands a deep understanding of client culture and operations, ensuring transparency and seamless service. The receptionist handles essential functions such as managing visitor check-ins, coordinating meeting room bookings, and acting as the first point of contact for all emergencies and support requests within the conference center.
A significant part of this role involves communication and coordination with various internal teams like building operations, IT, audio-visual services, and mailroom staff to resolve issues and maintain a superior guest experience. The receptionist is also responsible for monitoring meeting room activities, including attendee management and food and beverage arrangements, to maximize space utilization and enhance service quality.
Key competencies required include a passion for service excellence, integrity, ownership mentality, and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. Candidates must be self-confident, adaptable to change, receptive to feedback, and proactive in seeking improvements in service delivery. Confidentiality, discretion, punctuality, and dedication to operational excellence are essential qualities for success in this role.
With an associates degree or equivalent experience, the ideal candidate will be able to thrive in an environment where the focus is on making meaningful connections, delivering impeccable hospitality, and growing their career within a supportive and innovative global network. Rapport’s commitment to training and career progression ensures that every ambassador is equipped with the necessary skills and opportunities to succeed and advance their professional journey. Joining Rapport means more than just taking a job; it means embarking on a rewarding career path within a company that values people, quality, and community.
